The world is heading towards the second year with a temperature above the fateful 1.5ºC

This October has been the warmest ever recorded on the planet. The latest Copernicus report also indicates that 2026 will very likely end with a global average temperature that will exceed the fateful 1.5 ºC relative to pre-industrial levels, something that until now had only happened in 2024.
