Familia Torres wineries hire Fabrice Ducceschi as general manager.
President Miquel A. Torres has yet to reveal when he will pass the baton to his son.

BarcelonaFamilia Torres wineries have appointed Frenchman Fabrice Ducceschi as the company's new CEO. The executive, who has previously led food companies such as Albacora Alimentos, Adam Foods, and Nutrexpa, will be responsible for the general management of the Vilafranca del Penedès-based group and will report directly to the board of directors, made up of members of the fourth and fifth generations. The governing body continues to be chaired by Miquel A. Torres, who, at 84 years of age, has not yet set a date to pass the baton to his son, Miquel Torres Maczassek. The latter served as CEO from 2012 to 2023, when he stepped down to focus on preparing for the presidency.
Ducceschi has extensive experience in the consumer goods sector and in the general management of companies in Spain, Portugal, and France, both multinational and family-owned. For the last year and a half, he has served as CEO of Albacora Alimentos and as a member of the advisory board of the Delaviuda Confectionery Group. He previously led Adam Foods for eight years and Nutrexpa for another six. He was also General Manager of Nike Iberia and Nike France. Until 2023, he was Vice President of AME (FIAB), a multi-sector association of food and beverage companies.
President Miguel A. Torres explained that, thanks to his previous experience, the new General Manager will be able to "successfully face the challenges of the wine sector, which is constantly evolving and changing." He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the work carried out by Miquel Miró and Xavier Armengol at the helm of the General Management in recent years.
Centenary Winery
With this appointment, Família Torres underscores its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, values that are at the heart of this century-old family winery, considered a benchmark in wine and brandy worldwide. Rooted in the Penedès winemaking tradition since the 16th century, the Torres family founded the winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870, more than 150 years ago.
Today, the fifth generation focuses on producing wines from unique vineyards and historic estates, regenerative viticulture, and the recovery of ancestral varieties to adapt to climate change. Since 2008, the fight against the climate emergency has been one of its core priorities, through adaptation and mitigation actions to reduce CO₂ emissions.
Historically present in the Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, and Costers del Segre regions, Familia Torres also has vineyards and wineries in Spain's main wine-producing regions—Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and Rías Baixas—as well as in Chile and California. It is a member of Primum Familiae Vini, an association of twelve of Europe's most prestigious, century-old winemaking families, and co-founder of International Wineries for Climate Action and the Regenerative Viticulture Association.
