Stefano Benni, one of Italy's most popular writers, dies

Stefano Benni, author of novels such as Elianto, Margherita Dolcevita and The bar under the sea –all of them translated into Catalan by Anna Torcal and Salvador Company– has died at the age of 78. With more than 2.5 million copies sold, he was one of Italy's most popular authors of recent decades.
