Patricia Belli from Nicaragua, winner of the 2025 Velázquez Prize for Visual Arts

Nicaraguan artist Patricia Belli has won the Velázquez Prize for Visual Arts, which comes with a €100,000 award. The jury highlighted "the impact of her work in the Latin American context, specifically in Central America, and her commitment to education in a fragile environment."
