The actor Noah Wyle is the sexiest man in the world according to the magazine 'People'

BarcelonaAmerican actor Noah Wyle, 55, has been chosen as the Sexiest Man Alive in 2026 by People magazine. The publication highlights his "captivating intensity" and his "classic leading man looks." Wyle, who has a long acting career but became especially popular as the star of the series The Pitt, said in an interview with the magazine that when they told him about the recognition, he couldn't believe it. "I thought it was a joke. I never would have imagined that I would receive such an honor," the actor stated. According to the magazine, it was the performer's wife, Sara Wyle, who convinced him that "he did indeed meet all the requirements for the title." "She thinks I'm a good guy and that my way of being, the father and husband I am, deserve to be highlighted," adds the actor.

In this interview, the actor also explains that during his adolescence he went from being "quite thin" to becoming a "short and stocky" guy before having one last growth spurt. This stage where he was shorter than the rest of his peers "was plagued with insecurities," he admits. He also explains that he was neither a great athlete nor a brilliant student, and that he found his place in the high school drama club. Professionally, Wyle became known to television audiences with the character of John Carter, a medical student and, later, a doctor in the series ER. In that production, the performer worked with stars like George Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfield, and Julianna Margulies. He earned three Golden Globe nominations and five Emmy Award nominations during the show's run.

A few years later, in 2025, Wyle returned to the hospital world. It was in the role of Dr. Michael Robby Robinavitch, in The Pitt, on HBO. That performance over the course of two seasons earned him the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2026, as well as two consecutive Emmy Awards for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2025 and 2026. The third season of The Pitt is scheduled to premiere, in principle, in January of next year. The Sexiest Man Alive award, promoted by People magazine, has been presented annually since 1985. Throughout the history of the recognition, it has been received by names such as singer John Legend and actors Michael B. Jordan, Denzel Washington, and Idris Elba, among others.
