What will pensioners receive in their 2025 summer bonus?
Social Security is preparing to pay the extraordinary payment for this June.

During the month of June 2025, Social Security will pay the summer bonus to pensioners. This payment, which is received by all retirees receiving a contributory pension, represents the first extraordinary payment of the year, with the second scheduled for November.
Amount of the extra pension payment
Social Security indicates that pensions are paid in 14 installments, one for each month of the year and two additional installments, which are paid together with the June and November payments. The amount will be the same as the pension payroll for these months. That is, if you receive €1,000 each month, for example, you will receive €2,000 next June.
Who will receive the extra payment?
Those receiving contributory pensions resulting from a work-related accident or occupational disease do not receive extra payments. It should be noted that, in these cases, the payments are prorated over the 12 regular monthly payments. Other pensioners will receive the corresponding extra payment. This payment will be made at the end of June. Social Security also reports that new pensioners, those who reactivate a pension, or those who see it suspended or terminated, will receive the amount at the rate of one-sixth for each month of the accrual period (December to May and June to November, respectively).
A series of minimum amounts are guaranteed depending on the benefit received from the State. On the same Social Security website These amounts can be consulted for retirement benefits, but also for other benefits, such as widowhood benefits or permanent disability benefits.
