Temperature records and runaway heat

The warm air mass has pushed the maximum temperature today up to 34.1 ºC at the Fabra observatory in Barcelona, being the highest recorded in September since the year 1914. Other records include 42.5 ºC in Vinebre (Ribera d'Ebre) and 41.9 ºC in El Masroig (Priorat).
