BarcelonaAfter the strong wind caused by the storm Samuel After Sunday's hurricane-force gusts and numerous incidents in the north of the country, the week has begun much more calmly. The northerly winds have subsided, becoming more moderate and confined to the far reaches of the country, and sunshine and mild temperatures have taken hold across the country after the cold and frosty mornings. Temperatures have reached as high as 22°C in some coastal areas, the westernmost parts of the country, and the south. This pattern is expected to continue on Tuesday, with pleasant weather perfect for enjoying the day. Between Tuesday and Thursday, a light easterly wind will bring increased cloud cover, but beyond a few showers or isolated downpours in the northeast interior, no significant precipitation is expected. Temperatures will remain fairly stable, with spring-like conditions and no extremes at midday.

Tuesday: sun and calm

The weather will remain stable this Tuesday. Radiant sunshine will prevail everywhere. Early in the morning, there will be some morning fog in plains and valleys, as well as a few decorative patches of high, thin clouds in the northeast. In the afternoon, some harmless cloud cover may develop in mountainous areas. Minor variations in an otherwise completely calm climate. Minimum temperatures will rise, with a more moderate chill in the lower elevations. Maximum temperatures will rise inland and in the Pyrenees, and remain similar along the coast and pre-coastal areas. Many highs are expected to be between 16°C and 21°C, locally higher in the southern interior of the country.

Minor changes starting Wednesday

Between Wednesday and Thursday, the easterly wind will strengthen slightly, but this will not lead to unsettled weather. Cloud cover will simply increase due to the rising humidity from the sea towards the land. Beyond a few isolated, light showers in the afternoon in the northeast interior, the Els Ports area, and between Valencia and Alicante, most regions are expected to remain dry.

The weather maps indicate that instability could increase towards the weekend, with a risk of further showers. However, this possibility is still uncertain, and for now, a significant period of rain doesn't appear likely. We'll have to keep an eye on things. Temperatures will remain similar, with slight fluctuations.
