BarcelonaWe leave behind a weekend of pleasant and stable weather, with mornings of widespread sun and afternoons of showers and thunderstorms in the northern half, a situation that will be repeated in the coming days, but with some nuances. Looking ahead to Monday, the situation will be identical, but on Tuesday thin clouds will increase and the showers will be less extensive. On Wednesday, cloudiness will be even denser and the showers could reach other regions, but this will need to be confirmed. Temperatures will remain stable, with highs approaching 30 °C in Ponent and in the interior of the Ebro valley.

Forecast map for this Monday morning.

Monday: sun in the morning and showers in the afternoon

Few changes to start the week. There will be a very sunny Monday morning and an afternoon marked by the growth of clouds from the pre-coastal areas towards the interior. Some storms may appear from lunchtime onwards, affecting a large part of the northern third of the regions. The temperature will remain with few changes, with a minimum that will not move much and a maximum that could even rise slightly on the coast and in Ponent, reaching 28 or 29 °C where the mercury climbs the most.

Forecast map for this Monday afternoon.

The rainfall will maintain the intensity and extent of Sunday afternoon, and some showers may also reach points in the northeast and the coast of Barcelona. There will be some downpours that could locally leave more than 20 l/m² in just half an hour, even with hail or sleet, a fact that has motivated an alert for rain intensity in half an hour in the regions of Pallars Jussà, Alta Ribagorça, Vall d'Aran, Pallars Sobirà, Alt Urgell, Solsonès, Cerdanya, Berguedà, Lluçanès, Osona, Garrotxa, and Ripollès.

Tuesday: less extensive showers

More bands of high clouds on Tuesday, which will leave a partly cloudy sky in some cases, and also banks of low clouds stuck to the coastal strip that could bother bathers in some places. Afternoon with growing clouds in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, with some showers that will no longer leave this area, but will reappear. Mercury unchanged, even with a bit more coolness.

Possible changes for Wednesday

Mid-week could see the most significant changes. Temperatures will drop everywhere, though not noticeably, and cloud cover will increase. In fact, precipitation could reach some regions, including outside the Pyrenees, although meteorological models are not yet clear which areas would be most affected. Nevertheless, no significant rainfall episode is foreseen for the final days of April.
