BarcelonaWe've left behind a weekend that began with a change in the weather, accompanied by strong winds, rain, and colder temperatures, but which ended with a very calm and sunny Sunday, with only inland fog and the passage of high clouds that will remain in the sky for the next few days. We start the week with quite cold mornings and some frost inland, but we have some pleasant and enjoyable days ahead, with generally sunny skies and temperatures that will gradually rise, especially from Tuesday and Wednesday onwards. Therefore, we can expect much milder middays in the coming days, with an Indian summer that will certainly make its appearance. These days will also see a temperature inversion, with colder temperatures at lower elevations than at higher elevations, as well as a marked temperature contrast between day and night.

Monday: stable and high clouds

The week begins with a chilly morning. Early on, temperatures will drop below 5°C with some frost inland and in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees valleys, ranging from 3 to 8°C across much of the pre-coastal area and around 10°C along the coast, lower on the Costa Brava. The weather will be very stable, with low clouds and morning fog again in some Pyrenean valleys, low-lying areas, and other typical inland locations. Throughout the day, thin, high clouds will move in, with no risk of precipitation. Monday will be very calm, with temperatures remaining generally stable, although they may be slightly cooler in the western part of the country and rise slightly in the rest, with highs between 16 and 21°C overall.

Tuesday: few new developments

The weather will remain calm and uneventful on Tuesday. It will be a day marked once again by some fog and mist in inland areas, which will dissipate quickly throughout the day. High and mid-level clouds will also be present, covering the sky for much of the day and creating a hazy appearance at times. The temperature is expected to rise towards midday, with values potentially exceeding 21 or 22°C. In fact, Tuesday is Saint Martin's Day, and it marks the beginning of the typical Indian summer of this time of year. No extraordinary temperatures are expected, but over the next few days the thermometer will gradually rise, slightly exceeding 20°C in many regions. By midweek, temperatures will even approach 25°C in the south of the country. All this will proceed calmly, pending the possibility that an Atlantic front may bring renewed instability starting on Friday.
