Today's scorching heat in the northeast reached 40.9°C in Cabanes (Alt Empordà), the highest high this year in Catalonia. There have also been heat records for a month of June at four Meteocat stations, with more than 20 years of data. Tomorrow, the extreme heat will ease, but it will be short-lived.
