Uliana Semionova, legend of women's basketball, dies

Uliana Semyonova, a pivotal figure in women's basketball, standing at 2.13 meters tall, who dominated the USSR in the 1970s and 80s, passed away this Friday at the age of 73. She was an 11-time European champion and won 15 Soviet league titles. She also earned two Olympic gold medals in Montreal and Moscow.
