Barça prays that Claudia Pina doesn't get a constipation
The team's top scorer ends Granada's resistance in a deserved but narrow victory against Johan Cruyff.

BarcelonaBarça continues to make steady progress in the Liga F, winning every game. However, some, like this Sunday's 2-0 victory against Granada, were hard-earned. Despite dominating from the opening minute, the victory was a close one, requiring Claudia Pina, the team's top scorer, to break the Andalusians' resistance to Johan Cruyff. A header in the 51st minute opened the scoring, and Kika Nazareth, in the 87th, confirmed the victory for a team that now holds a seven-point lead over Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in the standings.
The statistics don't lie. Possession, as usual, was the Blaugrana's responsibility 70% of the time, and the chances multiplied in the first and second halves. Laura Sánchez displayed a display of reflexes and blocked shots with authority. But Granada's goalkeeper was powerless at the start of the second half, when Vicky sent a cross to the far post and Claudia Pina headed in a shot that bounced off the near post.
Under normal circumstances, this would have been the start of a rout. Although Granada were running out of steam and maintained a rock-solid defense, in attack, the Andalusians were rarely dangerous, and Gemma Font had to make a couple of worthy saves to prevent further damage. Towards the end, Vicky crossed again and Kika Nazareth, the center forward replacing the injured Ewa Pajor, managed to score the second and decisive goal of the match.
With this, Pina now has seven goals and is the top scorer for the team and the competition, and Vicky took home the award for player of the match thanks to her two assists. A duel before the international break, in which Aitana and Alexia started on the bench, and where Caroline Graham was honored at the start for her 200 appearances in a Barça shirt.
