When the snow melts and nature blooms, the Núria Valley transforms into a true summer paradise. Located at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the heart of Ripollès, this iconic destination in the Catalan Pyrenees is the ideal place to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with the essence of the mountains. This year, the mountain resort has renewed and expanded its summer offerings with sustainable innovations, family-friendly options, and activities designed for everyone.

Nature, excitement, competition, gastronomy, and sustainability are the strategic pillars of the tourism offerings offered by mountain resorts in the Pyrenees.

The destiny that has it all this summer

One of the season's major attractions is the Ecovall Discovery Route with the new TORGO 4x4 electric vehicle, which allows you to explore the valley's most hidden corners while learning about the ECOVALL sustainability project firsthand. This initiative is part of the Catalan Railways (FGC)'s firm commitment to preserving the natural environment, reinforced by initiatives such as the expansion of geothermal energy and the restoration of buildings to improve their energy efficiency.

For hiking and trekking enthusiasts, the Pala panoramic chairlift provides easy access to routes such as Pico del Águila, Siete Valles, and Pico de Font Negra, allowing you to observe wildlife such as marmots and chamois along the way.

Summer in Núria is also about culture and tradition. In addition to visiting the Sanctuary, visitors can enjoy various temporary exhibitions, such as the retrospective by photographer Toni Anguera (Xato) or the "Memories of Snow" exhibition, which reviews the history of skiing in the Pyrenees. On Saturdays and Sundays, free guided tours of the Ribes-Vila Museum are an opportunity to better understand the history and evolution of this region.

Family activities take center stage with the Fun Park, which includes zip lines, go-karts, scooter circuits, balance boards, zip lines, and much more. Lake Núria, accessible by boat or canoe, is another point of interest for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. There are also orienteering courses, mini-golf, photography routes, and the now-traditional "Historic Bridges Route."

For those who want the full experience, Vall de Núria offers several accommodations, such as the Hotel Vall de Núria, the apartments, and the Xanascat Hostel. All of these accommodations, in addition to offering comfort, are ideal spots to savor local cuisine in spaces such as the hotel restaurant, the Shepherds' Cabin, or the Rincón del Valle, where local produce takes center stage.

With all this, Vall de Núria is consolidating its position as a first-class summer destination that combines sustainability, entertainment, culture, and natural surroundings in a single space.

FGC TURISMO mountain resorts, much more than snow

Summer is also an ideal time to discover the natural and cultural richness of FGC TURISMO's mountain resorts, which extend far beyond the ski season. Located in privileged settings such as the Aigüestortes National Park, the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, and the Cabeceras de las Ríos Ter and Freser Natural Park, these resorts have become benchmarks in ecotourism and active tourism.

Through the Pirineo365 program, FGC promotes recreational activities, workshops, and unique experiences that appeal to both families and athletes. In summer, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and interpretive trails take center stage. There's also an intense sports program with 19 competitions spread between June and October.

Gastronomy also plays a fundamental role, with a firm commitment to offering a complete, high-quality experience connected to the region.

Sustainability is a cross-cutting theme at all resorts, which promote projects such as NERET and Clean Up Days, where volunteers and staff collect waste to keep the mountains clean and raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection.

FGC TURISMO resorts are not just leisure spaces, but true drivers of regional revitalization, with a clear commitment to sustainability, deseasonalization, and quality tourism.
