Investigation into the death of a mother and daughter in their Barcelona apartment
The autopsy will have to determine if it was a crime, but at first glance the bodies showed no signs of violence.

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are investigating the cause of the death of a mother and her daughter at the family home in the Clot neighborhood of Barcelona. The bodies were found on Friday, and according to police sources, there was apparently no evidence or sign that would lead to suspicion of foul play. However, given their advanced state of decomposition, it is difficult for officers to rule out any hypothesis for now regarding what really happened in this house.
The police are now waiting for the forensic team to provide them with the results of the autopsy on both bodies, which should determine why and when they died. According to Betevé, the alert was raised last Friday by a social worker who was following up on these two women when no one answered during one of her visits to the home on Clot Street. At this time, the ages of the victims and why they were receiving support from municipal social services have not been revealed.
The bodies were removed in front of the victims' brother and son. The case is being handled by the Investigation Unit of the Sant Martí police station of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the 20th investigating court in Barcelona.
