From L'Hospitalet throughout Spain: arrested for sharing sexual content from OnlyFans on Telegram

BarcelonaHe obtained the intimate images from women's private profiles on OnlyFans, a platform where users can only view such content if they pay a regular subscription to the person posting it. The application's rules prohibit downloading and sharing the photos and videos, but this man allegedly bypassed them. Furthermore, he not only downloaded the content illegally but also shared it through another app, Telegram.

On Telegram, he had opened a paid channel where anyone who paid could see intimate images of women who had never given their consent. Finally, the National Police have managed to locate and arrest this man, a resident of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, who is accused of sharing sexual content of more than 100 victims.

The network he had created, however, went far beyond L'Hospitalet. Police have arrested ten more people in several Spanish cities, including Valencia, Zaragoza, Vigo, Avilés, and Santiago de Compostela. The person arrested in Hospitalet is considered the ringleader, and 26 victims have been identified so far.

The investigation began with an email. Specifically, the police received a message in their redesabiertas@policia.es directory warning that OnlyFans content was being disseminated on Telegram. The police investigation led to the man from L'Hospitalet. At his home, the police seized a computer and three mobile devices and located up to 568 folders containing almost 120,000 files.

Following the police investigation, officers discovered that behind the leader was a network of collaborators who formed an economic web to avoid being caught. Specifically, the man from Hospitalet had a network of mules who provided him with financial support: they received the money from the distribution channel in their own bank accounts and then sent it to the leader of the organization. Thus, he never received the money directly.
