A body has been found in the Turia River that could be one of those who disappeared due to the flood.
Three people remain unaccounted for after the tragic storm in the Valencian Community where more than 200 people died.

BarcelonaThere are still three people missing as a result of the catastrophic damage that devastated everything last October in the Valencian Community and claimed 229 lives. This Tuesday, during debris clearance work, workers found the body of a man in Manises, in the bed of the Turia River. He could be one of those missing individuals, although those responsible for the investigation are awaiting DNA tests to confirm this. Initial hypotheses suggest that it could be Javi, the Pedralba resident who disappeared with his daughter, who has Down syndrome, when they were in a country house on that fateful October 29th.
The remains were discovered on Tuesday afternoon by employees of the public company Tragsa during debris clearance next to the Turia River. According to initial reports, given the area and the condition of the body, it could be Javi, according to the Europa Pres news agency. The Civil Guard located his daughter's body after the severe storm, but there was no trace of her 56-year-old father. Now we'll have to wait for DNA or dental tests to confirm it's him. This would bring the tragic death toll to 229 from the flood, which also left incalculable material damage.
Along with Javi, Elizabeth and Francisco remain missing, and the Civil Guard continues to search for them in different areas of the province of Valencia. Specifically, Elizabeth was caught in the torrent while driving her vehicle with her mother, near the Hotel La Carreta in Chiva. Francisco disappeared after he saved his two grandchildren, whom he left safe on the roof of his car before they were caught by the flood in Montserrat. The three missing people were officially declared dead after the storm, and throughout these months, various security and rescue forces have maintained active search efforts specifically to find their bodies.
