BarcelonaDNA analysis has confirmed that the body found in the bed of the Turia River, in the municipality of Manises, belongs to one of the three people missing after the Valencian flood. This is José Javier Vicent, 56, who was swept away by the waters to the town of Pedralba, according to the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community.

Vicent's body was found this Tuesday during debris removal work by the public company Tragsa. The man disappeared with his daughter, who has Down syndrome, while they were at a country house. The flood that occurred on October 29, which claimed 229 lives, caught them driving and was swept away by the water. The body of the 30-year-old woman was found more than 60 kilometers from where they were.

A year later, two people are still missing. Elisabeth Gil, 37, a mother of two, disappeared in Cheste on the 29th when the flood swept away the vehicle in which her mother was driving, whose body has already been found. The car was found empty on February 13th in the Poio ravine. The body of Francisco Ruiz, 64, who disappeared in Montserrat after saving his two grandchildren, aged 5 and 10, on the roof of his car, also remains unaccounted for.

Both of them, as well as José Javier Vicent, were already part of the death toll (229) and were declared legally deceased by a decree from a Valencia Court of First Instance dated March 6th.
