BarcelonaA 54-year-old woman died this morning in a fire at her home in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona, according to the City Council. in a press release.
The Barcelona Fire Brigade received the call at 7:07 a.m. and dispatched five units to the scene of the fire at number 4 Torrent de Perera Street. "Despite resuscitation efforts, we were unable to save the life of a person who lived there," the force reported.
Several units from the Barcelona City Guard, the Emergency Medical System, and the Mossos d'Esquadra were also mobilized, and will be in charge of investigating the fire to determine its causes.
