The General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) criticizes the Spanish government for threatening confidence in the justice system over the Alves case.

The judiciary warns that politicians must "balance their legitimate right to criticism with preserving citizens' trust in institutions," after Spanish Vice President María Jesús Montero called the ruling against Dani Alves a "shame."
