Seven times is few

We read in ARA that “Catalonia was warned seven times to correct the error in the PISA tests”. Apparently, the National Institute for Educational Evaluation (INEE) informed “Catalonia” that it “had made errors in the sample of students in the tests”. As everyone knows, “23% of the students in the sample were discarded, when the OECD marks that the maximum number of exempted students cannot exceed 5%”. The minister Esther Niubó finds “deficiencies in the communication of criteria to the centers, and has announced the replacement of the Secretary General of Education”.

Let's set aside that those who “discarded” students from the tests did so with realistic criteria, not to mess with anyone or because they couldn't add. If you can only discard five students from a class, because they don't understand what they're reading for various reasons, but there are fifteen more who also don't understand what they're reading for equally various reasons, there's no point in discarding five. It's not worth discarding them, if fifteen remain in the same situation.

That said. It is normal that Catalonia did not heed the seven warnings. Seven warnings are very few for such a special community. Sometimes, the statements are hard to understand. Sometimes comprehension is difficult and requires reinforcement politicians to help discover each person's peculiarities, instead of stigmatizing. We must be given more time and helped with stickers. Anyway, let no one suffer. What needs to be done is to request a meeting with tutoring, that whoever needs to go should go and come out of there with a pass of those that are called “board passes”.
