What would happen if one day, imagination suddenly disappeared? In a gray and empty world, two adults who have lost the ability to imagine will embark on a journey to re-enter the imagination of children, where everything is possible and where the boundary between reality and unreal is not yet established. This is the starting point of The crisis of imagination, which will be presented at the SAT! San Andrés Teatro on April 26 and 27. The Rauxa company will present its latest show to Barcelona audiences, a contemporary circus, dance, and object manipulation show that challenges the boundaries between the possible and the impossible and invites today's children to retain their capacity for imagination. 'Bastard'

Obstetric violence

When we talk about childbirth, we often think of a moment of fulfillment, but what happens when it is marked by obstetric violence? The play "Malparida," by the company La Maièutica, denounces this often invisible form of violence but also opens a much-needed space for reflection and dialogue. Whether you have suffered obstetric violence—it will serve as a catharsis—or whether you have not—it will help you understand other women—we recommend this play, which premiered in 2022 and can now be seen at Espacio Texas until April 27.

Things That Happen (To Me), by Andrea Zayas

To think about it

1.
There is a shortage of midwives

Impact on health

Midwives not only care for women during pregnancy and childbirth but also play a key role in every stage of a woman's life. They also provide care for sexuality, menopause, and the prevention and detection of health problems. However, they remain an understaffed and insufficiently deployed resource, as denounced by the Official College of Nurses of Barcelona. This demand we support, since if we want to improve women's health care, we need to invest in midwives.

2.
Family management

In a conversation among families, a mother expressed that she had enrolled her two children in a playpen on Saturday afternoons because those were the only three hours of the week for her. Two mothers' reactions were immediate, and they immediately blurted out that the weekend was for family time. Given this situation, we wonder what the problem is with a mother wanting three hours for herself. Absolutely not, just as it's perfectly legitimate to want to spend the entire weekend with her children. The point is that each family chooses what best suits their context, and the rest, even if they don't agree, don't judge them.
