Often, when a restaurant opens on the top floor of a hotel, in this case the nineteenth floor, it is unknown if people will make any. And the fact is that today's Peruvian restaurant, Maymanta, has been a success that has surprised many people. Not because the project wasn't splendid, but because it didn't take long to succeed. What will we find at this place? Well, it's chef Omar Malpartida's restaurant, and its name means origin in Quechua. You can enjoy the classics of Peruvian cuisine: ceviche, tiradito, cause, corn and cheese pie... And other more signature dishes, like the bread they top at Josper, with rosemary butter and yellow and orange chili butter. I'd recommend ordering this one as a pie. The shellfish with Parmesan cheese and the dry-aged meats have also been very popular.

Another strong point of this restaurant is the cocktails. It goes without saying that they nail the pisco sour, and they make versions: chicha, passion fruit, or herbs. But they also serve signature cocktails with the establishment's own creations. Another of Maymanta's strong points is its views. It's located at 4 Pius XII Square, inside the Grand Hyatt Barcelona Hotel. And from up there, you can see absolutely everything. You can eat inside, but you're also happy to sit on the terrace to enjoy the views. In fact, if one day you don't feel like eating, or just fancy a snack, it's also a spectacular place to go up for a drink.
