The Government, the Barcelona City Council and Aena are committed to strengthening the Airport with more airlines and destinations

The Barcelona Air Route Development Committee (CDRA) is in favour of consolidating Barcelona Airport as a "hub of high added value intercontinental connectivity" with the establishment of more companies and new routes.
