The Commission believes that having a bank account is a necessity, not a luxury, and therefore believes it should be cheaper.

The average cost of maintaining a non-subsidized current account in a bank has increased by 6.02%, rising by 9.09 euros and going from €150.91 to €160 per year, according to the VI Barometer of Bank Commissions from the Association of Financial Users (Asufin) which refers to data from the month of April.
