BarcelonaThe industrial company internationalization agency, The Big Move, has signed up former Minister of Business and Labor, Roger Torrent, for its advisory board. Founded by Quico Ramió, this company works with industrial companies looking to grow internationally and reduce costs and risks. The company accompanies them throughout the process of opening new markets, from initial analysis to commercial activation, using a methodological framework that integrates analysis, definition, testing, and market development.

The new member of the advisory board will bring "strategic vision" at a time when the company "seeks to scale the model and expand its presence in new markets," according to a statement. From the Generalitat, Torrent gained experience in promoting the international projection and economic development of various companies.

Torrent served as Minister of Business and Labor from 2021 until the end of the term presided over by Pere Aragonès (ERC). Last year, the former Minister from Esquerra, who also served as President of the Parliament of Catalonia as well as Mayor of Sarrià de Ter, founded the business consultancy Orvian Partners, which, among its tasks, advises Asian companies looking to establish themselves in Catalonia.

The Big Move, the company that has signed him, focuses its differentiating feature "on a digitized international expansion model, based on automation, artificial intelligence, and predictive data analysis." As the company explains, "this approach allows opportunities to be validated before investing, resources to be optimized in the initial phases, and costs to be significantly reduced —often by more than 50% compared to traditional models—, minimizing risk and improving the profitability of international growth".

This company was founded in Girona and is in a phase of accelerated growth. Its clients operate in markets such as the United States, Northern Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to Torrent's incorporation, the company has brought in an external investor, thereby strengthening "the development phase, maintaining a primarily organic expansion strategy and aimed at consolidating its positioning as a market development agency." Currently, the company consists of a team of five people and projects to achieve a turnover of up to 1.7 million euros by 2028, consolidating growth in the coming years.
