Brussels investigates Meta for not preventing access to Facebook and Instagram to minors under 13 years of age

The European Commission has opened an investigation into Meta this Wednesday for violating the European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA) and not preventing minors under 13 from using Facebook and Instagram. The Commission has pointed out that the measures the technology company is implementing on these platforms to assess the age of its users "do not seem efficient".
