BarcelonaThe actress Zoe Bonafonte (Barcelona, 2004) explains that she is fond of reading about mental health. “I think it's very important in my job, because if I'm not well, I can't interpret characters who are,” says Bonafonte. For this reason, she recommends It's not me, by psychiatrist and doctor of medicine Anabel González. “It is a self-help book about the dissociation of emotions and how we live on autopilot. It has helped me a lot,” explains the actress from the movie "}The 47 (2024), which has just premiered To fire (2026), a film in which he has a leading role.

The book, self-published by González herself in 2017, explores how our relationships with our surroundings can shape how we see ourselves. Under the full title of I am not me. Understanding complex trauma, attachment, and dissociation: a guide for patients and professionals, the psychotherapist transfers the work done with patients and proposes solutions to overcome these post-traumatic patterns. According to Bonafonte, the work “is aimed at everyone who has experienced some change recently”. On the occasion of the publication of the book What did not happen (Planet), González explained in an interview with ARA that "the fear of abandonment contaminates relationships", and stressed that "the feeling of lack is the most difficult thing to identify". The psychotherapist specializes in EMDR, a therapy focused on healing traumas through visual, auditory, and tactile stimulation to help the brain process painful memories. Bonafonte advocates for reading. "The act of reading is very important for our well-being. That's why we should consult much more about mental health," concludes the actress.
