A spectacular fire completely destroys the Tomorrowland festival stage.
Europe's leading electronic music event attracts thousands of fans to Antwerp

BarcelonaThe stage of Europe's largest electronic music festival, Tomorrowland, has been reduced to ashes following a spectacular fire. The cause of the blaze, which left the festival, which was scheduled to begin tomorrow, Friday, without a stage, is currently unknown. There were no injuries, and the event will go ahead. According to the organizers' website, they are currently looking for solutions to enable the scheduled concerts.
The festival has been held for years in the Flemish town of Boom, in the province of Antwerp, and attracts electronic music fans from around the world. In fact, more than 100,000 people have already purchased tickets, and many have already arrived in Belgium. Festival spokesperson Debby Wilmsen has confirmed that canceling the festival is not in their plans: "It took us two years to build the main stage, which has been reduced to nothing. It's a shame. We're not even considering canceling concerts, but it all depends on the authorities. If they decide that safety cannot be guaranteed, we will have to follow their instructions."
For now, DreamVille, the campsite where many of the attendees are staying, will open today, Thursday, as planned.
