Weekend to take advantage of and with controlled temperature
The sun and the calm will dominate, without rain anywhere and normal values for the time
BarcelonaThis Friday there were still remnants of instability in some places. In the morning, some showers falling over the sea brushed the coast of Barcelona, and left some local downpours and, even, some isolated flooding in the seaside neighborhoods of the Catalan capital itself, where in a few minutes more than 10 or 15 l/m² accumulated. Very local and anecdotal phenomena that ended up disappearing completely. In addition, some showers were repeated between the west of the Balearic Islands and the south of the Valencian Community.
But all of this will be moving on, and this weekend a calm, enjoyable weather awaits us, with no rain and generally sunny. Temperatures will rise in the middle of the day, but will remain normal for the season, with morning coolness and controlled heat at midday.
Saturday: calm and rising temperatures
The weekend will start very calmly. There will only be remnants of some totally harmless intervals of clouds between the coast and the pre-coastal area of Barcelona and south of Girona, as well as some brushstrokes of high and thin clouds. Although a downpour may still fall in the south of the Valencian Country, the instability will also be leaving.
A day to enjoy overall, with minimum temperatures that may drop a little more. Quite cool atmosphere at night and early in the morning, and even cold in mountain areas. The maximums will rise and the atmosphere will be warmer, but with heat kept in check and far from extremes. Many values of 25 to 30 °C are expected, a little higher in the southern interior of the country.
The morning mistral of the Ebro will end up leaving and the tramontana will blow moderately in the Empordà, although it will decrease as the hours go by.
Sunday: hotter
Looking ahead to Sunday, calm will be general. It will be a day of radiant sun to enjoy the outdoors. Sunny atmosphere with very few nuances. Temperatures will rise a little more and we will go from the morning chill to a warmer feeling in the middle of the day, although again without extremes and with values around normal for the time of year.
In short, in the coming days we will have to dress in layers, as the sweaters or jackets from early in the morning will be in our way at midday. The north wind will stop completely.
No rain in sight
Looking ahead to next week, the anticyclone will continue to embrace us. This will mean that the sun will dominate without exception and it will not rain anywhere, with some morning fog in plains and inland hollows. In fact, no episode of rain or strong storms is in sight, beyond some afternoon showers in the north of the country during the second part of the week.
All this with temperatures that will rise more at the beginning of the week, with more marked heat in the middle of the day, but again without extremes. The nights will remain cool and the thermometers will stay similar for the rest of the days. Let us remember that on Wednesday at dawn, the astronomical autumn will officially arrive.
