The weather

The rain will go away by mid-morning and the wind and clear skies will gain prominence.

The tramontana and mistral winds will strengthen at both ends of the country.

BarcelonaSaturday was a fairly quiet day, although we had some precipitation in the morning, which was quickly followed by clearing skies and a slightly warmer midday. However, during the afternoon and evening, rain returned from the west and eventually affected all parts of the country, with rainfall generally ranging between 1 and 10 l/m² (more data at the end of this report). Furthermore, the drop in temperature will cause snow to build up at the high altitudes of the Pyrenees.

Sunday: a bit of everything and a full autumn atmosphere

The weekend will end with a bit of everything. During the morning, precipitation could fall in all regions, and as the hours pass, it will become concentrated along the coast. Light rain is expected, although some heavier showers are not ruled out between the regions of Barcelona and Girona. From midday and into the afternoon, the sun will shine, and little rain is expected in Catalonia, with some cloudy patches in the northeast and the Pyrenees. Temperatures will drop moderately, and, in fact, the lowest records of the day could occur later in the day.

Monday: The sun will gain ground at the start of the week.

The week will begin with once again more stable and calm weather: sunny throughout most parts and a few clouds, especially in the northeast. In fact, there could be some minor showers in this area. The wind will ease after a windy Sunday in the Empordà region and the south of the country, and temperatures will rise slightly again, although it will remain cool both day and night.
