New episode of atypical midsummer heat

We're on the cusp of another bout of atypically summery temperatures. Today, the mercury will generally rise, and Saturday will see a peak of warmth, particularly affecting inland areas. Temperatures will drop slightly on Sunday, but they will see a sharp increase next week.
