More bearable heat and some more isolated showers, locally intense
It will be warm, but not extremely hot. The nights will be cooler, and the coast will be able to breathe a little.


BarcelonaThe front has generated intense showers, some downpours, hail (in the Bianya Valley) and accumulations of up to 70 l/m2 In the Girona regions, the heat hasn't eased much in the West or inland from the Ebro, where this Sunday it still reached 39ºC in Vinebre and almost 38ºC in Aldover. 21ºC (at the end of the report you'll find data on accumulated rainfall between Saturday and Sunday).

Monday and Tuesday: Heat at bay and cooler nights
The morning will be generally sunny, except for areas in the northeast, where low clouds may occur, possibly bringing some light showers, for example, south of Cap de Begur. At Cap de Creus, the north wind will keep the skies clear and the sea choppy, with strong swells.
From midday onwards, scattered showers of generally moderate intensity are expected in the northeast and the northern pre-coast, with few records.
Late in the day, some intense showers may develop between the southern part of the central coast and the northern part of the Costa Daurada. The Catalan Meteorological Service has issued a warning for heavy rain.
We're looking forward to a moderately warm and very bearable Monday and Tuesday, with many highs of 26°C to 31°C, slightly higher in the south and west. Nights will be more comfortable, with lows above 20°C only near the sea, where the muggy conditions will also diminish. You'll be able to breathe a little on the coast, while inland temperatures will drop to 17°C. In the Pyrenean valleys, you'll need to pack a blanket because the low will hover around 9°C on Tuesday morning.
Starting Wednesday, temperatures will rise again and the heat will become more intense. There's no new heat wave in sight, but we'll once again have above-average temperatures.

This weekend's heavy storms mainly affected the Girona region, as well as parts of the Pyrenees, the Pre-Pyrenees, and Central Catalonia. The weather was very uneven, but there were real downpours in some cases, dumping significant amounts of water in a short period of time.
