Luis Enrique leads PSG to the Champions League final
The French team prevailed at Arsenal and will look to become European champions for the first time against Inter (2-1).

BarcelonaTen years after winning the Champions League with Barça, Luis Enrique will try to repeat the feat with Paris Saint-Germain. The French side made no mistake against Arsenal in the second semi-final and will face Inter at the Allianz Arena in Munich on June 1st in a final unlike any other. In fact, PSG is only reaching its second final, after losing to Hansi Flick's Bayern Munich in 2020, the year of the pandemic. As life goes, PSG could reach the top of the league in the first year without Kylian Mbappé.
With the league already won, PSG had been preparing for this tie for days. Now, they were unable to recover their best player, Ousmane Dembélé, in time. Luis Enrique preferred to leave him on the bench to avoid taking risks, aware that he already had the tie firmly in hand after winning the first leg 1-0 in north London. In attack, youngsters Doué and Barcola played alongside Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Parisians' best player in the first half, however, was their Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, who prevented a goal that would have tied the tie with two great saves in the first 15 minutes, during which Arsenal were the better side.
Mikel Arteta's team started strongly. Declan Rice imposed his game, but the goal the Londoners needed was not forthcoming. And gradually, PSG found the composure to come out with space, like arrows. Kvaratskhelia warned with a shot that hit the post, and before the break, it was Andalusian Fabian Ruiz who managed to beat his Spain teammate, David Raya, with a beautiful shot. The Catalan goalkeeper, in fact, prevented the 2-0 shortly after when he saved Barcola's shot.
Saka forgives
In the second half, Arsenal continued to try, but Donnarumma denied Saka. PSG looked to have it easy to wrap up the semi-final when Hakimi's shot hit Lewis-Skelly's hand. A textbook penalty, but David Raya saved Vitinha's shot. Just after, Hakimi made it 2-0 with 20 minutes left, when Dembélé was already on the pitch, but Saka would give Arsenal life by making it 2-1 right after. And, in fact, he would forgive the empty net for the 2-2, an incomprehensible error that definitively sealed the victory for the team. GunnersIt will be PSG who will seek their first Champions League title in Bavaria, only the second in French football, against Inter Milan.
