Celtic maintains Glasgow's hegemony

A goal by Maeda in the 87th minute prevented the league title for Hearts, who wanted to break 40 years of hegemony by Glasgow teams. Celtic came back from Shankland's goal and were proclaimed champions of the Scottish First Division (3-1). Since the 1985-86 season, Celtic or Rangers have always won the league.
