The Firefighters have the forest fire in Paüls under control
The emergency services continue to work with ten units to extinguish the flames
PaülsFirefighters have managed to control a forest fire in Paüls, in Baix Ebre, where they continue to work with a dozen crews to extinguish it. The alert was received a few minutes before eleven this Thursday morning. Among the activated crews are members of the Forest Action Group (GRAF) and the Forest Active Prevention Team (EPAF), as well as a water-dropping helicopter.
The emergency services are working in an area of one hectare and have attacked both flanks of the fire with manual tools. As they warned, the strong wind blowing could hinder firefighting efforts, but for now they have managed to control the fire. In Paüls there was already a large forest fire in July 2025, originating in the Barranc de l'Infern, which burned about 3,321 hectares, 1,125 of which were within the Els Ports Natural Park.
