A new forest fire in Northern Catalonia burns almost 1,000 hectares

A new forest fire in Northern Catalonia has already burned nearly 1,000 hectares between the towns of Trevillac and Montalbà del Castell. The fire broke out on Saturday evening, mobilizing more than 580 firefighters, and is advancing east towards Illa, located about 25 kilometers from Perpignan.
