A man was arrested in Badajoz for killing his partner, a 34-year-old woman.
The Civil Guard arrests another man for detaining and sexually assaulting a couple in the Valencian Community.

BarcelonaThe National Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for allegedly killing his partner, a 34-year-old woman, in the Extremaduran town of Don Benito. According to the Spanish Government Delegation in Extremadura, the victim had been in the Ministry of the Interior's Comprehensive Monitoring System for Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén), although there was currently no active follow-up. The woman's name was Ilham and she had four minor children, one of whom is three years old.
The woman's relatives reported her missing last Wednesday, and her lifeless body was found in the street at midnight on Monday. The police have arrested the couple as the alleged perpetrators of the homicide, which is being investigated as a sexist crime.
Another case of sexist violence in Spain came to light this Tuesday. The Civil Guard has arrested a 57-year-old man in Llíria, Valencia, accused of locking and holding his partner in their home for 12 days. The police investigation began following a complaint from the victim's ex-partner: the woman contacted her asking for help and saying she was being held. A few hours later, the woman contacted her ex-partner again to tell him she had managed to escape and was heading to the police station.
Continued and recorded assaults
Once at the police station, the victim explained that for 12 days her partner had forced her to have sex, which he recorded without her consent. On July 28, the Civil Guard entered the suspect's home and arrested him. He was charged with sexual assault, illegal weapons possession, and drug trafficking.
