At approximately 6:30 a.m., the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) were alerted to a fight inside a home. Officers from both the police force and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the woman's body, lifeless and bearing signs of violence.
