Jonathan Andic will declare again and wants to refute the "serious inaccuracies" of the investigation
Their defense is analyzing the 1,400-page file
BarcelonaFirst actions by Jonathan Andic's defense after he was arrested this Tuesday for his alleged connection to the death of his father, Isak Andic, founder of Mango. Andic's eldest son was brought before the court in Martorell and testified for the first time as an investigated party – he had previously testified as a witness – regarding his father's fall in December 2024 while hiking in Collbató. During this testimony, Jonathan limited himself to monosyllabic answers to his lawyer, Cristóbal Martell's questions. As reported by Efe and confirmed by ARA, his defense will request to testify again before the judge once they have analyzed the entire case file. For now, they do not specify when this request will be made.
Until this Tuesday, the case investigating the Andic affair was secret, and therefore, neither he nor his defense could know the various pieces of evidence that the Mossos, after a long and complex investigation, have gathered against the textile entrepreneur's eldest son. This case file is 1,400 pages long and is what the defense is currently analyzing. According to the same information, Andic's legal team is working to refute what they describe as "serious inaccuracies" in the reports prepared by the Catalan police. From Jonathan's circle, they believe that the conversations that investigators have analyzed and presented to the judge are "biased," out of context, and some are from years ago.
Multiple pieces of evidence
Once the judicial appearance was over, Jonathan Andic was released on provisional bail after depositing the one million euros bail set by the judge, who attributes a crime of homicide to him. The evidence from the Mossos is multiple and includes the reconstruction of the fall, which they consider unlikely to have been an accidental slip; the bad father-son relationship; a possible economic motive, or a planning of the route they took.
The Efe information adds that at Tuesday's hearing Jonathan Andic stated that he would ask to testify again with the intention of answering the questions of all parties.
