BarcelonaA six-year-old girl has died after receiving treatment at a private dental clinic in Alzira, Valencia. A second child, four years old, who was also treated at the same clinic on Thursday, remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Hospital Clínico in Valencia. On Friday, the Inspection Service of the Valencian Health Department launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident and ordered the precautionary suspension of the dental clinic's operations. According to sources at the Valencian Health Department, the six-year-old girl was admitted to the emergency room of the Hospital de la Ribera at 4:52 p.m. on Thursday in cardiac arrest, after having been treated earlier that day at the private dental clinic. Doctors attempted to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful.

Earlier, at 3:11 p.m., another four-year-old girl, who had also been seen that morning at the dental clinic, arrived at the same hospital with a fever, vomiting, and drowsiness. After stabilizing her, the doctors decided to transfer her to the University Clinical Hospital of Valencia, where she has been admitted to the ICU.
