Five arrested, two minors, for killing a 16-year-old boy in Sants
The Mossos d'Esquadra rule out any connection to a youth gang conflict.

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested five people, two of them minors, for their alleged relationship with The murder of a minor aged just 16 on September 8 on the border between Barcelona and Hospitalet de Llobregat, in front of the Santa Eulalia metro station, according to ARA. After a month and a half of investigation, the Catalan police have been able to link those arrested to the attack with bladed weapons suffered by a group of three minors, including the victim.
The arrests took place between Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat between this Friday and this Monday. The arrested are three men (one of them a minor) and two women (one of them a minor). The detainees are between 16 and 20 years old. The Catalan police rule out the possibility that a youth gang conflict was behind these events, as was initially suggested by some sectors. However, they are working on the hypothesis that the victims and the perpetrators knew each other, and the latter were attacked by the former. A second minor from the victim's group was injured, and the third was unharmed.
The investigation
Although the possibility that the conflict stemmed from a previous fight at a nightclub was initially investigated, it is still not entirely clear whether the confrontation stemmed from there. Although arrests have been made after a highly secretive investigation, the police continue to investigate to clarify the events. Initially, the Mossos d'Esquadra believe that among those arrested is the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing.
According to a witness consulted by ARA, the three young victims of the attack, already injured, began running through the area, on the border between Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, crying for help. "Help, help, they hit me," he claims they were saying. Finally, one of them, according to the same witness, stretched out in front of the Santa Eulalia metro station, and another remained curled up, while the third cried for help. The witness claimed that the dead boy's father had come to the scene the next morning.
