The deputy mayor of Barcelona, Albert Batlle, hopes that the toughening of penalties for possession of weapons and drug trafficking will avoid legislative slowness. In an interview with ACN, he recalls that "years have passed" until the penalties for repeat offenders were toughened: "It is 2026 and it has only just been modified".
