Barcelona deactivates the basic emergency plan and heat wave protocol

Barcelona City Council on Monday deactivated the basic municipal emergency plan and heat wave protocol, which had been in alert phase since Saturday, August 16, following a warning from the Catalan Meteorological Service about temperatures forecast to exceed 34.2°C in the city.
