Early in the afternoon, the firefighters rescued the body of the 18-year-old boy at the Ametlla de Merola weir. The incident was reported shortly after three in the afternoon. A group of young people who were bathing at the weir alerted that one of them had jumped into the water and had not resurfaced. The firefighters deployed twelve units, including members of the GRAE, the special underwater team, and also drones. They searched the entire riverbank, about 200 meters from the point where the young man had last been seen. A few minutes later, they located the boy's body in the water and performed resuscitation maneuvers, but they could do nothing to save his life.
The Firefighters also reported this afternoon that they have withdrawn from the search for theThe alert for the third fatal case occurred at 3 p.m. Two hikers reported that a third person had fallen about 100 meters down in an area of the port of Medacorba, in the municipality of Alins, in Pallars Sobirà, near the border with France and Andorra. Firefighters withdraw from the search for the missing teenager in Roses
The Firefighters also reported this afternoon that they have withdrawn from the search for the 16-year-old boy who disappeared on Wednesday while riding a jet ski with other people in the bay of Roses. After searching the area near Begur, the body's units have found no trace of the boy. The Mossos, for their part, maintain a maritime unit in the area working in coordination with Maritime Rescue and the Civil Guard to try to find the young man who has been missing for more than three days now.
Meanwhile, the Civil Guard continues to investigate the facts, taking statements from witnesses and the company that owns the jet skis, which were sealed this Friday. The agents verified that the vessel carrying the young man, which appeared the next day on the beach of Pals, had damage. The Firefighters are working with the hypothesis that the boy lost his life jacket at some point and fell into the sea.
