BarcelonaAt least 25 people were injured, three of them seriously and two potentially seriously, following an explosion at a bar in the Madrid district of Puente de Vallecas. The explosion, which occurred early Saturday afternoon, left the establishment in very poor condition and also affected the apartments in the same building above the bar.

According to authorities, emergency services continue to work, with a total of thirteen Samur-PC units and eighteen more from the Madrid City Council Fire Department. A canine unit and two SUMMA 112 units are also on hand. At this point, work is focused on clearing the premises to ensure no one else remains and inspecting the building, which has been damaged. However, firefighters must do everything by hand because the building is very unstable, and it would be dangerous to bring in machinery.
