BarcelonaPeople between 40 and 49 can now make an appointment for a booster dose. The appointment can be requested through the website vacunacovid.catsalut.gencat.cat provided that six months have passed since the second dose of Moderna or Pfizer was received, or three months for those vaccinated with AstraZeneca or Janssen. This has been announced by the Secretary of Public Health, Carmen Cabezas, who called on the population to get a booster dose because it caused the incidence among the over-70s to drop considerably, as well as for those aged between 60 and 69. These are the two age groups which have received the most booster doses. In fact, Cabezas has announced that 100% of infections in Catalonia are caused by the Omicron variant, although most of the hospitalisations are still by the Delta variant.
