After keeping journalists waiting for more than three hours without explaining what was happening behind the door, the Republican published a message on Truth Social stating that the visit was concluded: "We discussed many topics, including trade and tariffs. The meeting went very well." According to the magnate, "additional meetings will be agreed upon" in the coming months.

Isolated in the heart of the tropical rainforest, this Amazonian settlement follows the rhythms imposed by the river and the land. Along the Uraricoera, a tributary of the Negro River, some children play and cool off in the water. A little further on, several young people return from the bank with a canoe loaded with bundles of cassava: the tuber that sustains Yanomami life. The harvest passes from hand to hand until it reaches the homes, where the mothers wash, grate, and transform it into flour, repeating gestures passed down from generation to generation, as old as the river itself.

Since 1542, when the expedition led by Francisco de Orellana reached the great river, nearly 484 years of sustained resistance have passed. Now, this struggle is moving to Brasília. Hundreds of indigenous representatives are settling in the country's political center in a protest camp to halt legislative changes that could allow extractive activities and energy projects within protected territories. The mobilization combines political pressure with cultural expression, turning the institutional space into a stage for collective demand. Despite some recent advances in territorial recognition and environmental protection under the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, hundreds of communities are still awaiting legal guarantees for their lands. In parallel, the pressure from illegal mining and logging in indigenous territories is growing. The Free Land Camp in the Brazilian capital is not an isolated episode, but the continuation of a nearly 500-year history of persistent defense of their ancestral rights and their way of life.

The event focuses on the female strength of Brazilian popular music with a program that combines concerts, dance, workshops, and educational opportunities, bringing Brazilian culture to the city. The festival presents an exclusively female lineup of international acts from Brazil: Diana de Sertão, Trio Mana Flor, and As Fulô do Cerrado. These three leading figures in popular music present projects that explore the interplay between tradition and contemporary elements of forró—a popular musical genre and dance from northeastern Brazil—and other rhythms from the country. Diana de Sertão, Trio Mana Flor, and As Fulô do Cerrado are three contemporary female voices in folk music. With a long career and a powerful voice, Sertão has been dedicated to forró and other rhythms like xote and baião since the 1970s. Trio Mana Flor is the first all-female forró trio in Brazil. Since 2008, they have been performing and producing classic popular songs, incorporating electronic elements into the vocals and accordion. As Fulô do Cerrado is a five-member musical group that blends modern forró with popular culture..

Is it bred at the North Pole? Does it grow up in nests high in the trees? Or is it a laboratory creature that doesn't even have any feathers? All sorts of legends have surrounded one of the most ubiquitous dishes on Brazilian Christmas tables for the past 30 years. There, many have heard stories about the origin of this super-chicken, the Chester, always shrouded in mystery that has given rise to the most outlandish theories (like the one about the beast without any feathers). Few can claim to have ever seen a live specimen, and that's why, when journalist Vitor Hugo Brandalise Junior, sitting among friends in a bar, blurts out, "My uncle was one of the inventors of the Chester," he knows he'll have the audience's full attention.

Bolsonaro is being held in a 12-square-meter room with a single bed, a small table, a television, and wooden shelves, according to images released by the Federal Police. The decision to begin serving his sentence comes after Bolsonaro's defense team waived its right to file further appeals, for which it had until Monday. The initial appeals had been unanimously rejected by the four members of the Supreme Court's First Chamber, which is responsible for the case.

A group of Brazilian Federal Police officers went to the home of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who was under house arrest, on Saturday and arrested him preventively, according to local media. The far-right leader had been convicted for the attempted coup of January 2023Just yesterday, Friday, Bolsonaro's lawyers requested the Supreme Court to allow their client to serve his 27-year prison sentence for attempted coup under house arrest due to health reasons. However, officers transferred Bolsonaro to police custody, following orders from the Brazilian Supreme Court, which decreed the former president's preventive detention to "guarantee public order," according to EFE. His son, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, had called for a large rally of Bolsonaro supporters this Saturday in front of the former president's home. A very brief statement from the Brazilian Federal Police reported that they had carried out, this Saturday in Brasília, "a preventive detention order in accordance with a decision of the Supreme Court," without mentioning the person arrested. According to local media, Saturday's preventive detention does not mark the beginning of the sentence's execution, which was expected in the coming weeks after the Supreme Court rejected the first appeals against the verdict. Instead, it appears to be a preventive detention order. On September 11, Bolsonaro was convicted by the Supreme Court's First Chamber. to try to "perpetuate" himself in power with the support of former ministers and military commandersAfter losing the 2022 elections to the progressive Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the country's current president, the seventy-year-old far-right leader had been under house arrest at his residence in Brasília since August 4 for violating a series of precautionary measures in this case. In the coup trial, the Supreme Court also ordered the preventive detention on Friday of Congressman Alexandre Ramagem, a Bolsonaro ally who was convicted in the same trial as the former president. Ramagem reportedly fled to the United States last September through the state of Roraima, bordering Venezuela, and then through French Guiana. Ramagem, the former director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency, received a sixteen-year prison sentence in a closed regime for the crimes of criminal organization, coup d'état, and the violent abolition of the democratic rule of law.

The First Chamber of the country's Supreme Court, which is trying Jair Bolsonaro, has sentenced him to 27 years and three months in prison. Bolsonaro is charged with five crimes, including attempted coup d'état, for having led a plot to prevent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from being inaugurated president after losing the 2022 elections. Although unsuccessful, the party completed the Bolsonaro building on January 8, 2023, as determined by the judges.
