Isla spends the night in the hospital awaiting diagnosis for a possible "muscle injury"

He went to the health center after completing his scheduled institutional visit to Ascó (Tarragona) on Saturday morning. He had gone for a workout beforehand, which is when he began to feel discomfort. He was still in pain after the event and sought medical assistance. However, the President is "in good condition." Throughout Saturday afternoon, the President was at the hospital, where he underwent medical tests to try to determine the cause of the pain. Early Sunday morning, he was still awaiting further tests to reach a diagnosis. The President's office confirms that he is doing well and that the pain is improving. The fact that it is the weekend also affects hospital procedures. Government sources explain that the President and former Minister of Health is in a public hospital, although they did not specify which one. Illa is a keen runner and has maintained his training, which he usually does first thing in the morning, even after being sworn in as President of the Generalitat. In fact, he had planned to run the Granollers half marathon this Sunday, in which he participated last year. These plans, along with the rest of his schedule for Sunday, have had to be canceled by the head of the Catalan government.
