When and where will Taylor Swift's wedding be? Big wedding in an iconic New York venue

The singer is marrying American football player Travis Kelce, and it seems she already has the preparations underway

Wedding bells are ringing in the world of entertainment, but also in sports. Taylor Swift is preparing her wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce, and it seems that it has surpassed the place where one of the most anticipated events of the year could be held. It would be none other than Madison Square Garden in New York, the arena where the New York Knicks, recent NBA champions, play and where the biggest global music stars perform. The New York Times has been able to confirm that the pop superstar has rented the iconic venue for the July 4th weekend.

According to an entertainment industry executive cited by the same newspaper, Taylor Swift July 2nd was to be reserved for an intimate ceremony with about 100 people, and the next day, some 1,000 guests would gather at Madison Square Garden for a no-holds-barred celebration that could feature various musical performances. But the venue is not the only detail known about what is considered the wedding of the summer ("with the permission of Dua Lipa and Callum Turner, who recently married). Permission has already been requested from the city to close the streets around the pavilion from July 2nd to July 4th at noon. In addition, several members of the Kansas City Chiefs, the future husband's team of the singer, have booked rooms for those dates at the four-star hotel Marriott Marquis, located in Times Square, very close to Madison Square Garden. And one more detail: Amtrak police officers, the United States railway network, who patrol the station under the stadium have been notified that Swift's wedding will take place that weekend.

What is clear is that we are facing an event that, as could not be otherwise considering one of the most famous singers in the world, will occupy all the headlines. And it is a ceremony that does not want to go unnoticed: choosing a place like Madison Square Garden, probably one of the most famous venues in the entire country, is clearly a statement of intent, and for Americans it is equivalent to making the wedding practically a royal wedding. Furthermore, there is the fact that it will theoretically take place on July 4th, Independence Day of the United States, the country's most important holiday.

July 4th is, in fact, one of the artist's favorite festivities, known for holding an exclusive party every year to which she invites many of her famous friends, such as Selena Gomez or the Haim sisters. Swift has chosen one of New York's emblems to celebrate a wedding that promises to be the height of the American dream.

After the small ceremony, the big celebration coincides with other events that will make New York a city that will be quite difficult to get around. In addition to the celebrities, athletes, and paparazzi who will bring the show to Manhattan, we must add the tourists, the July 4th celebration itself (which this year is even more special because the North American country is celebrating its 250th anniversary), and the Football World Cup, which attracts even more visitors.

Amidst this confluence of events, Taylor Swift's team remains silent, as do the spokespeople for Madison Square Garden, who prefer not to give details or confirm anything about the most anticipated and American wedding of the year.
