Kim Kardashian hits back at ex-husband Kanye West's swastika shirts
Nike has announced the agreement with the model for the launch of the Nike Skims brand

BarcelonaFor years, international brands and stars have been strengthening their relationships to socially link themselves with the values that both represent. This is how Kim Kardashian and her closest relatives have managed to consolidate their great business empire over the years. But the latest of the model's collaborations with a brand was especially notable. For the first time, Nike has joined forces with an external brand: Skims, the company of the sociality dedicated to underwear. Both companies will form Nike Skims.
Beyond the exceptional nature of the business union, the announcement has also been read as a response to the controversial sale of t-shirts with swastikas which starred last week Kanye West, Kim's ex-husband and expartner Nike, with which he ended on very bad terms. So much so that, after West's breakup - now called Ye - with Nike, the singer began collaborating with the competition, the sports brand Adidas. But some time later he also ended up splitting with that second sports company.
The announcement of the collaboration between Skims and Nike has been totally unexpected. Especially considering that the merger of the brands had been in the works in secret since October 2023. In addition, the products are not expected to be available in stores. on-line and in physical stores until next spring.
At this point, it is also unknown what role Kardashian will have in the Nike Skims brand. Still, the CEO and co-founder of Skims dared to point out the possible future of Kim in this new project: "It's hard not to think of her [Kim Kardashian] as a figure similar to Michael Jordan," said Skims CEO and co-founder Jens Grede, referring to the iconic Jordan sneakers.
What has been announced is the type of public they seek to appeal to with their products: "It's a great clash between the high-performance product - tested by athletes and inspired by athletes - and the incredible attention that Skims pays to the female body shape and inclusion," official presentation of the new brand.
